Jebel Sahro
Sandwiched between the High Atlas and the Sahara, the remote mountain region of Jebel Sahro is the perfect destination for a winter sunshine trek.
Our 10-day trek takes us into the heart of the Jebel Sahro, amongst rocky peaks and plateaux and through occasional green oases, where we find the red mud-built villages of the Berber people.
Following quiet trails through a variety of spectacular scenery, we also have the option to trek to the summit of the highest peak in the range, Amalou n'Mansour (2712m./8895ft.).
During this season, with warm days and crystal clear visibility, the views northwards to the sparkling snow-capped peaks of the Atlas are quite magnificent. An exciting drive across the High Atlas to the souks and snake-charmers of Marrakech provides a fitting conclusion to this classic Moroccan adventure.
